This was a project I created as part of an assignment for Art School. I used as many of my assignments as I could afford to back then as a sort of testing grounds for the various concepts and themes I would eventually begin to focus the world of Crimson Dames on.
Though the overall story line for these characters was left unfinished they are not going to waste. Several of the characters and themes are continuously being iterated upon and will soon find a new homes within the world of Crimson Dames.
Lately I've been deeply interested in learning Zbrush to help me better render some of the more complex designs shown here sch as the Paladin's armor. Which I've yet to get looking really good from all angles. :p

This was a comic I wanted to create as a sort of pay set to help raise funds, but somewhere down the line I lost interest in the overall project and had to let it go.
I don't think the textures I was experimenting with at the time were really working out either way.
I'm not giving up on the concept though, I actually think this prototype will pair well with the Lady Kerberos illustration I had done a while back.
I just need to find a more efficient work schedule to be able to at least get these stories written up and more speedily sketched out.

Crimson Dames Prototypes
When I was in art school I was really left frustrated seeing so many students waste their time but only ever putting in the minimum effort into their assignments in order tun off and play video games or party.
Me I used as many of my assignments I could as testing grounds for my various characters and concepts. These 2 prototype trailer comics came about through that practice.
Their pretty crude now compared to what I'm capable of creating now, but the overall core is still pretty solid I think.
