I hadn't started a new contest for this month yet due to already having a lot on my plate with trying to get this latest illustration complete, and the queues are actually pretty thick with reservations that peeps hadn't filled out yet.
So I was using the time to experiment with some sketches for myself as warm ups before I got back to the coloring of the main project this month. One thing these sketches revealed to me is that I still got so much to learn concerning anatomy. XD But its the sort of thing that the more you know the more you understand how much you still don't know. I really like how some of these came out tho. I'm really torn between wanting to have my shewolves have those long spindly fingers with daggers for claws, that or the design thats closer to a paw, be it bear or wolf. Both have their strong points and difficulties in drawing regularly. I tend to find myself drawing the same hand poses a bit too often tho. I need to research some alternate angles to experiment with. maybe that will be the next streams warm up just filling a page with claws, hands, and paws. Which of these did you like most? Don't forget if you have a sketch reserved in the queue to think up what you would like. While the guidelines are fairly lose on what you can request, be sure to remember that affording the artist more more creative freedom will tend to net you better results, and also take into account the subject matter I most enjoy drawing. :p Oh! Almost forgot, don't forget that I recently reinstated accepting membership payments with Minds Tokens. For a good while it started to seem like it was a worthless process that only made money for the crypto companies, but recently I learned how to properly cash them out for real money, well relatively speaking. So if you hadn't given minds.com a try you really should consider giving it a whirl. More and more artist there are starting to accept them as a form of commission or payment for goods. You can use my referral link to sign up. https://www.minds.com/register?referrer=studio_aegis Its a social site that works to preserve freedom of speech, and while sometimes that means having to see some stuff u might find offensive or incredibly stupid, it ensures dialogs remain open were we can encounter new ideas or contrary talking points other channels like twitter or facebook actively work to suppress. gotta take the good with the bad sometimes. The site still has some growing pains to work out, they lack some features I'd really like to see, and they got a major problem with bot accounts trying to farm up extra revenue, But overall the set up has made for a much more wholesome group of people who can be fun to converse with if not outright enlightening to be around. I rarely use facebook or twitter anymore because It just serves to infuriate me anymore. Give it a try tho and see what you can accomplish, cultivate the following/feed you want. ^_ ^
