Was looking at these 2 pages and realized that the final panel of 18 and the first of 19 just didn't gel right, and since they were both somewhat similar I opted to keep the one that fed best into the next page.

I might still want to adjust the 4th panel on page 18, it still doesn't quite feel right yet.

I think maybe 2-3 more pages and a cover and things should be ready to start inking/refining.

Hrmm need to think about how to design her master/groom now. If I make him too cool people will expect to see him more down the line, but not cool enough and it might not be as satisfying a finish. :p

Tell me what u think though, and by all means point out what u think looks stupid and that I need to fix, just be classy about it. XD

Next take on the Lane Thunderhoof sketch.
I felt that the dragon was eating up too much space for the original take so attempted to a version that was zoomed in closer.
Will see what the Art Director decides they like best.
Tomorrow will work more on Scion while waiting for feedback.

Finally getting started on these 2. The first set of sketches is proving to be quite the challenge for finding the right balance between the 3 main figures each of which pulls focus away from the other.

The more of the dragon I show the smaller the riders presence, were as there's only so many poses I can use where that tower shield isn't covering up most of his body.

The next of the emperors throne came together much quicker, but will conversely be the harder of the 2 to ink. T  oT

Didn't get as far along as I had hoped to get today. Can't quite decide if I should show more of the shewolf in the first panel. I'd like to get a panel were I show the scale of her face up close to his. right before biting his head off.

Not sure if I shouldn't scale everything down to get more apace to maybe show his head bouncing away in the distance, or up toward our face. just not sure if these are the ideal angles to use given the space some of them are taking up.

Will see what I think tomorrow after seeing them with fresh eyes. :p

Looking back at page 18 I'm wondering if I should try showing the shewolf following through with her killing in that second panel which right now is just an anime esque motion showing the point of impact, or maybe at least his body from the shoulders up.

Tell me what you think and which idea's sound best to you. ^  _^

Struggled trying to find the ideal layout for the second panel here. I had to keep referencing the previous pages back and forth to make sure the continuity for the head and beams of light remained consistent.

For the next page I'm leaning towards her grabbing the second thief by the leg and either dragging him into the darkness followed by lots of gooey sound effects or her pulling his head upwards to bite it off.

Tomorrow I need to start up those 2 illustrations for Dragon Shield, can already tell their going to be challenging pieces to figure out. With the early stages needing more back and forth for the approval of the designs I should be able to work in some more penciling for the comic pages.

Been trying to zero in on just what I've been doing wrong lately with marketing my work, tagging were I posts, etc. It's been such a major struggle to get my following to increase recently, I just can't seem to pinpoint were the disconnect is.

I need to significantly improve my income so that I can start getting back on my feet vehicle wise and with eventually getting a place of my own again.

I haven't left the house since Christmas day and its starting to drive me a bit batty, but with no vehicle and no funds to even pick up some extra groceries there's not much point at the moment. That and its cold and wet outside. And there's animals! completely naked in the middle of the day!?? XD

Don't got time for any of that nonsense. XD

Mnrrg after another almost 12 hour session I've finally completed this piece.

My eyes feel like their melting. TT oTT
I'm really happy with how it came out. I do regret that it feels a bit stiff, but that's partially due to my still exploring the design and really wanting to have a good sense for their anatomy before doing anything that would distort their form too severely through forced perspective.

The False Mermaid can actually close her mouth completely without baring her teeth and when she does she's able to close her lips up showing off just her human ones with the monster lips tightly pursed shut to the point of seeming like a vague crack in her visage.

The True Mermaid also has similar such teeth though she cant open her jaw line to nearly such an extreme.

Story wise the 2 are trapped in a rather large research facility but despite the limited space the powers that be are powerless to bring down the False Mermaid without killing the True Mermaid, ash she willingly puts herself in the line of fire to protect the False, just as much as the False will viciously lash out at any soldiers or machines who try to get near them.

Werewolves would be little more than popcorn to this hulking abomination thankfully for them she exists far into the future of the world of Crimson Dames, in a time when mankind was finally starting to grasp the full extent of the lost technology and how to advance it to their cause.

I'll be posting it up to the Perilous Quest Gallery tomorrow as well and cast her out into the depth of the internet to see what shinies she can catch for me. ^ o^

I'd really love to hear what you all think of them and how they came out.

Still waiting on Dragon Shield to contact me about my current assignment, but they were moving house recently so I didn't want to bug them, I'll likely be starting up those projects this Monday but in the meanwhile I'll see if i cant advance the shewolf comic forward another page or so.

another 11 hour work day and shes really starting to come together now.

I can imagine her having some sort of crazy deep bellow and or a high pitch squeal that could shatter glass.

I suddenly want to rewatch Blue Submarine No. 6, which now that I think about it is a major subconscious source of inspiration for this character.

I apologize to my regulars for not playing videos in my streams lately. my followings growth has be come so stagnant of late that I'm looking to try something new to better advertise my work.

The plan is that I'll get clean footage and go back and edit it into a video later to post on youtube.

Issue is I need to throw down like 20 bucks for the for the 2 primary apps I'd need to get the work done from Adobe, and I just can't afford it at the moment.

Also I need to apologize for any troubles you might have accessing the member pages at the moment. Seems that my business account with weebly has expired and until I reup for the month I just wont have access to the higher level features the site is supposed to have.

And a business account costs about 40 per month, and I'm at the point were I'm saving that in case I need to purchase more food before the month is up. T  oT

Sigh, Ah me.

I gotta get some of these major projects complete so I can start getting revenue for them.

Things are looking like they'll be improving soon for me and my family, but I'll have to drag along the bottom of the ocean floor for a bit longer looking for plankton to nibble on.
