Man this ones been fighting back against me real hard. Have had to put quite a bit of time into ironing out the mistakes in the anatomy. Finally looks about where I'd like it to be.
Man I really need to make the time to start doing some anatomical studies to get my penciling faster and accurate, so I'm not loosing so much time correcting mistakes in the inking process.
Updated the energy arc to make it a bit more interesting, hopefully now it reads more as the skulls flying out from said arc.
I imagine them flying off with a high pitch wailing, like anime styled missiles with how they do those crazy contrails. ^ o^
Hrmm I'm wondering now that if i put the background of the stone wall from the "Beacon of Light" pic that I could do up a big shadow of her in the back to make things more dramatic.
Will have to experiment with that to see how cool it might be.
Got Vampire's body penciled in now, I feel I might have relied on mirroring her body a bit too much, so might need to go in and tweak a few features here and there.
Not sure that I'm satisfied with the energy arch with the skulls in the middle just yet.
debating if i should work in more of the background but in its current state it seems like any more elements might be more distracting than anything
After taking a good long look at the newer versions of these 2 fighting I had done I realized a couple things about this pic.
1) Orphan didn't look nearly as big as she needed to compared to the newer works.
and 2) That Standards pose was pretty boring.
Doing large overhauls on already completed works can be a major pain given how many layers there are to work around. So instead of trying to fill in the holes of dozens of layers I decided that I'll just redo the backgrounds colors completely.
Will save a lot of time overall, that and I'm thinking the colors should be brought more in line with the later pieces. A warmer light source than the original cold.
Tell me what you think and if there's other aspects u wouldn't mind seeing me take another crack at while I'm at it.
I'm considering shortening the fur on Orphan's shoulders too since that aspect evolved as I continued drawing her over a years time.
Starting to feel like I'm never gonna be done with this product. I think though that once its all done that I'd like to crowd fund a hard cover book for those interested. Gotta research the best way to go about it. Seen some very nice crowd funded books that were very affordable.
Oh yeah don't forget the roll for loot contest ends tomorrow. spread the word and help raise the reward pot. ^ o^
Lost a day or so on this project due to my sleep schedule starting to flip over to day shift.
Left wing needs a bit of work still, but I think its starting to feel just about where it needs to be now.
What do you think so far??
I'm planning to make this one be a shirt designso I wont have to do much with a background.
Not sure if I should get crazy and actually have names written on the scroll. XD
I'll have to do a Lore entry for this character at some point. I draw him every so many years and its fun seeing how his design has evolved.
I wanted to do something a bit lighter for my next piece and remembered I had this older sketch laying around.
So was cleaning it up some. Looking at it now though his body language feels a bit too benign so I'm thinking that might just redraw it to get something a bit more threatening.
Since its a simpler piece without a major background I think It might end up being ideal for a shirt design.
Tell me what you think, I crave feed back, feed it to me! XD
Made some new adjustments based on suggestions provided by the Amazing Were-World.
Stuff like showing more of her visible leg, adjusting her claw in the background, tilted the piece on its axis a bit.
With this the main 2 figures are complete, hopefully I can get the background completed tonight.
This piece has been quite the journey and I've learned a lot along the way and its going to be much stronger for the time put into the piece.
Were-World is seriously a great artist and very fast and well worth following and supporting and has helped me quite a bit with mentoring me on some of the pieces I've been working on.
I cant wait to see this piece complete I'm really digging how its transformed so much along the way. XD
Hoboy. So after discussing matters with my brother and Wereworld I realized that a small change could get the perspective to feel much more dynamic, and that a much bigger change could really push for a bigger moment of anticipation.
Thus despite how disapointed I will be to have in a sense wasted my time over the last 3 days I'll bite the bullet and put in the work to vastly improve this piece. Really it wasn't a waste of time because I wouldn't have gotten to this much stronger design otherwise. Its all part of the process. ^ _^
I'll really only have to redo her arm and legs. I'll have to do more work with the background now though but it will be worth the effort. This feels like it will be so much more epic a piece now, I'm really excited!
I even realized there are some major ways I could improve some of the previously completed pieces that will really bring them all in line design wise and help to strengthen the core of these 2 characters struggle.
Tell me what you think about it all I really want to know, and please don't forget to consider perhaps leaving a donation or at least helping to spread the word! ^ _^
Lotta improvements since this morning. Still though it feels like there are some fundemental errors I need to figure out.
Does anything in particular stand out to you??
Could really use some input to better zero in on the issues.
I suspect its the anatomy of the arms coupled with the extreme foreshortening thats just not sitting right with me yet.
Still a lot of push and pull to go with this one but its starting to feel more cohesive now. Both claws for Orphan will have to undergo some major adjustments to get the scale right.
Orphan is unique among those cursed with lycanthropy in that her full sized wolf form is many many times larger than what is typical of the Fang's soldiers.
The problem is that being so small in statue and young still the massive increase in mass is incredibly painful causing her to blank out during transformations. Usually a cause of her body shutting down her human mind in order to protect itself through in newfound lupin instincts.
This makes discerning between friend and foe a near impossibility, but something that she will eventually overcome as she continues to grow into her body.
Can her newfound friends last long enough for her to find equilibrium with herself in that time is the question.

Lotta changes / refining to get the anatomy and body language to all match up properly. Started shrinking down Standards face but i think it might be too large now still compared to the rest of whats visible of her body.
Mnrrg accurate foreshortening and perspective can be such a pain sometimes. XD
Man poured several hours into this before taking a step back getting ready to save then realized i'd sucked all the flow of the pose right out of it! > .<
So had to go back and bring more of the angles and curves back to the piece.
I'm not quite satisfied with how her head and face looks just yet. I'll take another stab at it tomorrow. I foresee that being the one part of this piece that resists me the whole time.
The ghost in the background will be played out in such a way that it wont be obvious that its there. Or at least thats what I'm hoping to achieve.
The idea is that its more a representation of the hatred the Monstress has towards the Crimson Dames for intruding into her echo chamber.
I'm hoping this one wont take too long to knock out, just depends on how badly the pose for the head resists. XD
What are your thoughts on it so far?
Did up the clothing for a censored version, also adjusted the werewolf's fur a bit and added a bit of jewelry on the shewolf to add more to the Gothic feel to the piece. Tell me what you think! :D
Wasn't quite sure what I wanted to go with for this one initially but towards the end it all started to click together.
There are 4 primary phases to how these mannequins will progress in the haunt.
"Normal" = where things seem somewhat normal but the early stages of the haunt are apparent. The mannequins from this point are the ones from when the creator was trying his best to capture the most ideal human forms.
Deconstruction = Where the master having become frustrated with his own sense of inadequacy started to destroy all of his creations violently, perhaps at some point loosing his ability to tell his creations apart from the staff working within his manor and dragging them into the violence.
Experimentation = The point where the creator started adding animalistic features to his creations seeking some new form of inspiration to be his muse, at some point using human bases to speed up the process.
The Arcane = the point were his experimentations with science/magic cross the threshold and give physical form to demonic entities from some other plane of existence. loosing a new form of abomination into the world.
This particular one would come from the deconstruction period. Where more of the haunted/possessed mannequins come from.
Almost finished a second mannequin today, it still needs some cleaning up tho will finish it up tomorrow, a stage 4 abomination. :D
Refined pencils for Emperor Scion. Both Pieces have been approved for inking now.
Moved the shield to his other hand after peeps in the stream helped me come to the realization that it looked like a lefties shield. XD
I predict this one will still be the more difficult of the 2 to ink but It's been simplified some so hopefully things go smoothly enough.
The Fief Lord Revealed, impressed with what a good girl his Shewolf has been.
I'm leaning towards the Lord falling into the role of Gold Wolf, one of the Four lords, among the Fang. His power will be added to the pack where he himself will gain his lycanthropy via his new bride.
This page still wasn't sitting well with me. Beefed up the look of ferocity of her close up, Tilted the panel border to make her feel less claustrophobic. and re positioned the victim so that the action reads a bit better.
