Given how the scale of the interior had grown I needed to to redo the outside to suit it. Perspective like usual is a major challenge for me, but I think overall that this came out a lot stronger.
This route allowed me to better establish the 2 thieves and will allow me the space to get across their plan to clean the joint of its valuables.

The whole set together at last! Mummy Jar = Bearing a crude representation of the Lich Anubis. Head Box = Bearing a cursed head that plagues Feif Lords across the frontier. Monster Box = A very hangry Mimic. Toy Box = Filled with plush representations of some of the various man eating monsters to plague the world. Marionette Box = Some assembly required. Goo Box = Contents under pressure. Treasure Box = Worth the effort? Spider Box = Best left buried deep below the earth. Thise will primarily be used as clickable icons for the various Lore pages, but I'm also contemplating using some of them as illustrations to flesh out the Arcana, Monsters, and Myths/Legends pages. Some of them did give me some fun ideas to play with doing some brief written articles over. Some of the characters and factions pages are so in depth that their a daunting prospect to begin, but some smaller pages concerning strange devices and or urban legends could be fun too. I really need to make time to bust out that Spine Esoteric program again and see about using it to add some animation to a few of these. They would be really fun to see in a video game. but they'd need to move to really seal the deal. Which vessel was your favorite? Did any of them inspire some questions or idea's you'd like to see explored further? ------------------------- Oh yeah the small rooster Icon is what I was planning to use to eventually indicate where u can explore deeper thoughts on any given subject... if we can figure out how to deal with the code. The only way to store your most important organs!
Hah, this Anubis esque character is pretty thick. This this the set is complete! Now I can move on to something more interesting. Well just as soon as I knock out some commercial work. T oT I kind of really want to do an new elaborate illustration not directly related to the current projects I'm on. But I guess I've been dragging my feet long enough on these bigger projects. I really need to get this novella and or comic finished so that I can point to them and say start here. I really do need to start getting into the habit of writing more too tho to start fleshing out some of the lore sections out. ------------------------- Everyday I find more pages that still need the new visuals added to. Starting to feel like I'll never get that part finished up. Brother is trying to help me out with figuring out the code to add a hovering icon with a pop up text box. I would set it up so that you'll see an icon with my avatar and you would then know that you can hover over it to get more info, like my internal thoughts on the various concepts and designs to be found on my site. I could even use it to do a bit of role play with the characters by showing their internal thoughts. to help establish their voice some. Could be a fun way to scatter content across the entire site to be hunted down. And / or maybe even start up a game were u can track down breadcrumbs. -------------------------- I've been thinking that I need to get back to doing the Roll For Loot contests soon. I will need to change it up some though. I've got so much on my plate right now and not much in the way of funds. *Cough!* Help support Studio-Aegis by becoming a patron today! *Cough!* Since I cant afford to give out any very elaborate prizes was thinking of doing sketches again but on a much smaller scale. Perhaps doing a contest 1 per week. The roll codes are weighted to give more chances to the higher level patrons. but I also don't want people to feel like they have no chance of winning. I'm trying to decide between either... 1) All patrons and non patrons who are part of the discord roll off once per week for 1 single sketch. 2) Rabbits, Cats, and Ravens, Roll against each other with the Werewolves having their own roll. 2 possible sketches to win. 3) all patrons roll off once per week, and maybe once a month non patrons are allowed to participate. But only on the same phase per month. I want to ensure supporters feel like their getting their moneys worth out of helping me out financially but I also need to avoid taking on too much extra work that will just slow my progress down to a crawl. Another idea I was contemplating was doing draw overs for aspiring artists to help suggest ways they could improve upon their current sketches. Tell me what you think I'm deeply interested in knowing what you think would be fair. What forbidden delights does this box hold?
Had a lucky mistake with one of the blend layers that I really liked for the goo leaking out of the box and decided to keep it. Though its not a precise representation I wonder if anyone recognizes the lock/symbol in the center. Just 1 more to go and i should finally be far enough along that that I can shift attention away from the overhaul for a while. I'm kind of feeling like I really should make a 9nth box just to make a 3 sets of 3, and in case i end up needing another. Would really help to quiet my OCD too. XD Ended up redesigning this box some.
Originally it was going to be strange artifacts for the arcana section. It's still a strange artifact but its more interesting now. I've always been fascinated by these Japanese styled jointed dolls/marionettes. I'd actually like to own a life size figure of this style some day. I'll have to either make it myself or hire someone else to do it. Story wise I do plan to have some of these as enemy creatures eventually. They start off as the prototypes of what eventually become the panzers. Only at this stage they have no use of their limbs but full consciousness still. I've imagine entire video game boss fights using these before. were a massive mechanical spider puppeteers them into lashing out at intruders. I'd like to do another full illustration featuring them down the road. Is she just being taken out of the box and assembled? Or is she about to be packed up and put into storage? Man this one took me a while to finish up.
The perspective kept resisting me from beginning to end. I still don't think that I fully nailed it, but I got it to a point were you should hopefully not notice too much. :\ They are really starting to look cool together tho. :D So... Is this arm a natural part of this things anatomy or is there a lot more space in there than there seems?
This one was pretty fun to draw. well the perspective wasn't XD Though this one wasn't as aggravating as the Treasure box is currently being to me. each one of these things perspective has major/mino flaws about them. ;0 Try not to look too closely at them. XD 4 more to go and I'll be able to move onto something else. Wish I could just jump back into the shewolf, or novella, but I'll have to work in 2 more commercial illustrations first. T oT Tell me what you think so far tho. Still need to redesign the crate box and think up 1 more design in the meanwhile. Did you pick up your toys??
This one turned out a bit more sinister than I had originally intended it to. XD Each of these toys, or at least the animal ones. represent some sort of deadly monster that inhabits the world of Crimson Dames that could swallow you whole. Yes even that one. XD I really should get someone to make these someday as plushies. Could have my own Studio-Aegis line of plush monsters. ^ o^ ----- Website wise today I succeeded in getting the MISC and Comic Works galleries up to speed. be sure to check them out. :D And please do your best to help me spread the word about my works I desperately need new supporters to help make ends meet out here. :\ If I can get like a thousand $2 patrons I'll be able to get a new vehicle and apartment much more more easily. ^ _^ WHY WOULD YOU HAVE THAT??
Hehe vessel 2 of 8, yeah turns out I'll need 8 not 7. This one was pretty simple so was able to finish it relatively fast. I'm in the middle of inking the Toy Box at the moment. Ran into technical troubles and wasn't able to get the stream going yesterday. I'm somewhat annoyed in that I'll need to take on another job for 2 illustrations pretty soon here. I really want to just focus on these projects, but I can't afford to not take it on. T oT I managed to get more PDFs, and Novella pages loaded up today for patron rewards. I also set it up so that the NSFW images would be restricted to the Wood Tier member pages. It's not a pay wall though so just need to register by picking a password email and name then you'll be able to access them from any of the normal galleries. I just wanted to make it a bit harder for peeps to stumble into nsfw content without realizing it. Dont forget the Red Bordered icons designate NSFW content. ^ _^ |
